What is a Cue Score?
Every signal on SignalCue carries a Cue Score — a single number from 0–100 that answers the question: how much conviction does the engine have in this call right now?
The three inputs
The Cue Score blends three factors, with weights that shift dynamically based on the signal type and market regime:
Momentum strength
40-60%Technical edge — RSI, MACD, trend stage, volume profile, relative strength rank. The higher the raw signal conviction, the more this dominates.
Narrative alignment
20-30%Does the signal fit the current macro regime? A breakout in a defensive sector during a risk-on regime scores lower than the same setup in a momentum leader.
Risk vetoes
20-30%Sector momentum below threshold? Crypto funding rate crowded long? Macro event within 48 hours? Any veto flags the signal as lower-conviction or skips it entirely.
Regime-aware scoring
The same setup scores differently in different markets. A momentum breakout scores higher in a risk-on regime; a defensive signal scores higher during uncertainty. The regime classifier — powered by live Polymarket probabilities — adjusts the baseline before the Cue Score is computed.
Why not a fixed score?
Fixed scores (like "85/100" every time for RSI oversold) give false precision. The Cue Score varies by market conditions so you know when the engine is more confident than usual — and when it's hedging. A Cue Score of 87 means something different in a trending bull market than it does in range-bound chop.
